Festival of Trees

A Season of Giving

The Story of Festival of Trees

In 1992, a small group of kind-hearted volunteers came together with a big goal—to raise funds for the Lifeline Emergency Response System. That December, the very first Festival of Trees lit up our community with 16 beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, raising $9,172 and bringing peace of mind to 20 Lifeline subscribers.

What began as a humble holiday fundraiser has blossomed into a cherished community tradition. In 2004, Festival of Trees became part of the N.E.W. Community Health Foundation, continuing its joyful mission of supporting Lifeline and healthcare improvements for our neighbors in need. Today, the event dazzles with more than 60 trees and wreaths, each lovingly decorated and auctioned to support local health initiatives.

The magic begins with Senior Day, a heartwarming holiday lunch where local seniors enjoy the festive atmosphere, live music, and the chance to vote for their favorite tree or wreath. The celebration continues with Family Day, offering holiday cheer for all ages—shopping, entertainment, and a wonderland of decorated trees.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Festival of Trees has raised more than $3.5 million to improve healthcare in Campbell County. And because of YOU, we’ve surpassed our fundraising goals for the past three years!
