Healing is hard enough, a warm bed shouldn’t be out of reach.
When patients travel to Gillette for medical care, they’re facing long days, emotional exhaustion, and uncertainty. The last thing they should worry about is how to afford a place to sleep. That’s why the Northeast Wyoming Community Health Foundation, in partnership with Candlewood Suites, provides safe, affordable lodging for patients and their loved ones—so they can rest, recover, and focus on what matters most.

A Place to Rest, A Moment to Breathe
Since 2022, the Foundation’s Patient Lodging Program has helped 291 families cover 495 nights of stay, totaling more than $11,200 in lodging assistance.
Whether someone is undergoing surgery, receiving cancer treatment, or caring for a loved one in the hospital, this program provides more than a place to rest—it offers comfort and peace of mind during difficult times.
Through generous community donations, the Foundation is able to offer limited financial assistance to help cover lodging costs. Candlewood Suites partners with us to provide a reduced nightly rate for a limited number of nights, ensuring families have access to safe, affordable accommodations close to care.
Guests are referred by local medical staff and must be traveling to Gillette for treatment or to support a patient in care.
